Piano Moving

During construction, pianos are designed with moving in mind. Each type of piano has a different ideal methodology when it comes to making a move. Our professional TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® movers are specifically trained to move all types of pianos and have the speciality equipment to protect and move your piano safely and securely.

A typical piano can weigh between 600 to 1400 lbs. If professional moving equipment and techniques aren't employed, there is a good chance the piano, walls, floor and banister will be severely damaged by the heavy point loads that can occur when the centre of gravity shifts. Not to mention the danger of severe injury an inexperienced volunteer piano mover might sustain.

Our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® movers are professionally trained and have the knowledge, experience and speciality equipment to overcome all of these obstacles when moving all types of pianos. When moving your piano with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® you can expect:

  • Your piano to be wrapped with protective cushioned moving blankets, and then stretch wrapped with protective plastic to protect it from moisture and humidity during transport.

  • Your piano to be expertly mounted onto a piano moving board (when applicable), designed specifically for moving pianos, and then securely mounted onto a rubber wheeled trolley with specially designed piano straps to make moving your piano easier and safer.

  • Our movers safely manoeuver your piano into our specially designed trucks with suspension systems designed to carry heavy point loads without the chance of shifting.

  • Our movers secure your piano properly to a specifically designed structural wall inside the truck for safe transport.

  • Our movers will move your piano safely into the room of your choice at your destination.

Our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® employees are professionally trained and have the knowledge to move your piano safely. The only thing we can't do is re-tune your piano once it arrives at the new location, but we can recommend a local professional to tune it for you.
